Nutrition: Which opportunities for private label brands?

Long before the Christian era, Hippocrates had already said, “Let your food be your first medicine.” While the scientific community has largely confirmed the link between diet and health and raised the alarm numerous times to try to prevent outbreaks of diabetes and obesity, there is a gap between scientific reality and the level of knowledge consumers possess.
On the one hand, the inescapable figures on the risks of “poor diets” and recommendations to curb them, and on the other hand, consumption habits and well-entrenched preconceived ideas, make change difficult.
Yet on both sides, the same goal: how to remain in good health while growing older.
Beyond nutritional dictates, consumers are waiting for healthier products that are more natural and suited to their lifestyles.

In this context, ranges with specific nutritional value are an opportunity for manufacturers and distributors to gain ‘stomach share’ and profit.
